Zid

What the app does

• Install from the Zid app market. SeekGist creates your store, subscribes to Zid's product changes (create, update, publish, delete) and reads your products page by page, with names in Arabic and English.
• Search on your storefront: your theme's search box shows SeekGist suggestions and results, through the app's own small script.
• Safe fallback. If SeekGist is slower than 300 ms or fails, your store's own search answers. See Store fallback.
• An admin page that opens from Zid: on/off switch, sync status and "Sync now".

Install

1. Open the Zid app market, find SeekGist, and click Install. Approve the access.
2. SeekGist opens, creates your store, subscribes to product changes and starts the first sync.
3. Your theme's search box now shows SeekGist suggestions. Search in Arabic and in English to check.

Turn it off

Use the switch in SeekGist. Your store's own search comes back at once.

Good to know

• Some details of Zid's API are not in Zid's public docs (the webhook body, the uninstall event name, the store id on the storefront). They are built from the best public information and need a check on a live Zid store.
• Zid does not sign its webhooks, so each webhook address that SeekGist gives Zid has its own secret token per store.
• SeekGist stores no shopper names, emails or addresses. See Security and your data.
